Dua Lipa’s 13 Tattoos & Their Meanings

1. ‘ROSE’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Rose inked on the inner side of her right Bicep.
Meaning: Dua Lipa during one of her trips to Paris got a Rose inked from the tattoo artist, Madame Buraka. Dua Lipa revealed in an Instagram post that she had got the tattoo at 2 am in Paris with @burakatattooflash.
2. ‘THIS MEANS NOTHING’ Tattoo
Tattoo: This Means Nothing is inked on her left forearm.
Meaning: This was her second tattoo. Sean, her tattoo artist had inked the words in his own writing style.
3. ‘PALM TREE’ Tattoo
Tattoo: A Palm tree is inked on the back of her upper left arm.
Meaning: Dua Lipa loves Los Angeles with such heart that she had decided to get ink in the form of a palm tree tattoo on the back of her upper left arm as a homage to L.A.
4. ‘ANGEL’ Tattoo
Tattoo: ANGEL tattooed on her right shoulder.
Meaning: This ink was also done by her favorite artist Sean.

5. ‘Eye’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Stick and Poke Eye Tattoo near her right ankle.
Meaning: Dua Lipa got this tattoo done in her own kitchen by her drummer’s wife, Amy.
“@williambowerman has come over for dinner and as a house warming gift his wife is giving me a stick n poke tattoo,” Dua Lipa wrote on Twitter. She said the “all seeing eye” is there to protect you.
6. ‘Starburst’ Tattoo
Tattoo: 8 pointed starburst tattoo on her right-hand middle finger.
Meaning: This stick and poke tattoo was also inked by Amy Louise (Dua’s drummer’s wife).
7. ‘Patience’ Tattoo
Tattoo: PATIENCE inked on her left hand.
Meaning: Dua Lipa revealed through Instagram the “PATIENCE” tattoo on her left hand in April 2017. In an interview, she explained that the tattoo is a constant reminder for her to stay calm and be patient.
8. ‘Mum and Dad’ Tattoo
Tattoo: MUM and DAD inked on her right elbow.
Meaning: This tattoo is in the honor of her parents, mother Anesa Lipa and father Dukagjin Lipa. She got it tattooed during one of her tours to Los Angeles on February 8, 2018.
9. ‘SUNNY HILL’ Tattoo
Tattoo: SUNNY HILL inked on the inside of her right arm.
Meaning: This was Dua Lipa’s first ink. Dua Lipa was born in London, however, she was captured saying that SUNNY HILL has always been home to her. Sunny Hill is the English translation of the ‘Bregu i Diellit’ district in Kosovo’s capital city of Pristina.
