История

Пре-дебют

В 2016 и начале 2017 года участники группы появлялись в музыкальных клипах различных исполнителей, совершая камео или играя ведущие роли. [1] [2] Кевин впервые был представлен публике как участник Kpop Star 6, но он выбыл из шоу в его начале. После этого он выпустил саундтрек к дораме Saimdang, Light’s Diary в апреле 2017. [3] Сону присоединился к соревновательному шоу High School Rapper в январе 2017, из которого также выбыл. [4] [5] В марте 2017 Джу Ханён принял участие во втором сезоне шоу на выживание Produce 101, в финальном эпизоде которого он занял 19-ое место. [6]

4 декабря Cre.ker Entertainment объявили, что группа подписала контракты с Sony Music для продвижения в Японии. [15]

2017–2018: Дебют с The First, The Start, «The Sphere» и The Only

6 декабря THE BOYZ официально дебютировали с релизом мини-альбома The First и его титульного трека «Boy». [16] С 12 февраля по 15 марта на V Live выходило их второе реалити-шоу The 100. [17] После его окончания группа провела мини-онлайн-концерт 23 марта. [18] Также Санён присоединился к постоянному составу шоу We are the One, которое транслировалось с 26 февраля по 26 марта. [19] [20] Первое выступление THE BOYZ за границей состоялось 17 марта в Макао, на 12-ой церемонии Asian Film Awards. [21]

Второй мини-альбом группы The Start с ведущим треком «Giddy Up» был выпущен 3 апреля 2018. [22] По причинам, связанным со здоровьем, Хвалль не смог участвовать в промоушене и был вынужден приостановить свою деятельность на три месяца. [23]

12 июля, когда Хвалль вернулся с перерыва, группа выпустила особый цифровой сингл «Keeper», спродюсированный Пак Кёном из Block B. [24] [25] 24 июля THE BOYZ получили свою первую награду новичка на Korea Brand Awards. [26]

Группа также появилась на шоу «Happy Arrived At Our House», направленное на освещение проблемы брошеных собак в Корее. [27]

30 августа THE BOYZ выиграли ещё одну награду новичка на Soribada Best K-Music Awards. [28] 5 сентября они совершили первый камбэк за 5 месяцев с сингловым альбомом «The Sphere» и песней «Right Here». [29]

В январе Cre.ker объявили, что THE BOYZ проведут свой первый тур по Азии под названием The Boyz Asia Fan-Con Tour «The Castle» с остановками в Южной Корее, Японии, Гонконге, Сингапуре, Индонезии, Таиланде, Тайване и Филиппинах. [33]

Второй сингловый альбом группы «Bloom Bloom» и его одноимённый титульный трек вышли 29 апреля 2019. [34] С ним THE BOYZ впервые победили на The Show 7 мая. [35]

23 октября Хвалль официально покинул группу из-за проблем со здоровьем. [37]

6 ноября состоялся дебют THE BOYZ в Японии с выпуском мини-альбома Tattoo и одноимённой заглавной песни. [38]

6 декабря, в честь второй годовщины, группа выпустила особый цифровой сингл «White». [39] С 11 по 20 декабря они также провели тур Dreamlike по Европе с остановками в Берлине, Париже, Лондоне и Амстердаме. [40]

10 февраля 2020 года вышел первый студийный альбом THE BOYZ Reveal. [41]

20 марта стало известно, что группа присоединится к шоу на выживание от Mnet Road to Kingdom. [42] Они завершили шоу на первом месте, получив гарантированное место в предстоящем шоу на выживание Kingdom. [43]
